Friday Night Lights! one of the things I love about living in a small town is Home Football Games! This year started out with an exciting game against the Marion Indians, who used to be my arch rivals when I attended Linn-Mar ( Class of 1984) so now living in Mustang territory the Indians are still foes at least on the game field,–still have lots of friends and great clients from Marion. This year is the 2nd annual Mustang Football Game action photo fundraising program. This program is a Win for Mustang Fans as families of players can get professional action photos that they would be extremely difficult to capture without our help, a Win for the Mustang Football program as we donate 10% of the sales back, and a WIN for me in that I know who is interested in getting photos of their student athlete, and I can focus my lens on them.
There is still time to get “vested” in the program you have until our 2nd home game on Sept 16th which is Homecoming game too. To get in the program you must buy 1 gift card for $50 by 9-16. 2011 Mount Vernon Family Benefit–looking for YOU to show off your TALENTS
Mount Vernon is such a beautiful place to live and one of the charms of this small town are it’s people. Another cool thing about this town is it’s talented and caring citizens. Through a chain of circumstances I am co-chairing this benefit with Virgina Roudabush and with a lot of help from Noreen Bush and Kristin Reimann, and the passion of the Cornell College students and Mt. Vernon youth and you get something special. In this post you can see the plans for a benefit to help 2 families with their medical expenses. Rubicon Photo is also going to set up a FUN Photo Booth this evening and donate the proceeds from the sales to the benefit–so if you are coming to this event make sure to come dressed in your “colors” you know your Mustang gear, Cornell Rams, Hawks, Clones, etc and let us recreate a nostalgic photo strip, similar to what Kmart photo booth produced but with professionally captured images with FUN poses. We hope you will support this FUN family event, it will be a great night out and for a good cause. One of my responsibilities is the talent show and we are looking for all kinds of acts so contact me for details on how to get your talents or groups talents showcased. Mt Vernon Football vs Maquoketa
Hello all Mustang fans, sorry for the delay getting these online this weekend, but my host had a server crash and their back up systems did not work so the site was down until Sunday. Then in my haste to get them up I put them in the wrong category on the Online Gallery, so here is the corrected link to see the Mt. Vernon vs Maquoketa game. It was a very good competitive game against the Cardinals, keep up the hard work Mustangs and you will get the “Ws” you deserve.
It was fun to catch the Freshman game, check out the pro like moves of Trey Ryan, looks like a bright future for the Mustangs with these guys coming up the ranks!
